Currently in my own practice i have been experimenting with altering space with colour and shadows. Richard Serra's drawings are an example of how a block of colour, or lack of it, can transform a room or space. Serra refers to these as drawings, which is interesting, considering that they are very influential on the viewer who technically walk into the space, or drawing. It is this interaction which i find so amusing. Richard Serra Drawing: A Retrospective traces the crucial role that drawing has played in Serra’s work for more than 40 years.
